WVU President Visits Moorefield

An infectious smile, exceptional energy and a bright bow tie are the trademarks of West Virginia University President E. Gordon Gee. 

Gee came to Moorefield last week, a stop on his mission to visit all 55 counties in the state. He talked with the Examiner prior to a reception which drew nearly 100 people to the newly renovated McMechen House.

This is Gee’s second stint as president of WVU. He held the post from 1981 – 1985. At that time he was the youngest university president in the country. He was 37 years
