Puffenberger Jewelry Closing after 78 Years

Kathleen Puffenberger has been managing Puffenberger Jewelry all by herself for the past seven years. It was 2006 when her husband, Ernest, passed away.

“I kept the store to keep busy,” Puffenberger said. “I never thought I could do it. But it has been a blessing. It’s really kept me busy. I enjoy the people so much.”

After 78 years on Main Street in Moorefield, Puffenberger Jewelry will close this week. “I just think it’s time to retire,” Puffenberger said.
