Patience is a virtue and good things come to those who wait.

The wait was finally over as Moorefield rallied to defeat Class AAA Martinsburg 8-5 last Wednesday at George Hott Field.

This was the Yellow Jackets’ first victory over the Bulldogs since May 2004.

“All wins should be celebrated because the alternative is not much fun. These players know they can rise to the occasion,” Moorefield skipper Wade Armentrout stated.

Moorefield didn’t allow the Bulldogs to get acquainted with one particular pitcher as six hurlers took the mound in the win.
