For an off-year in politics, it sure has been exciting in our neck of the woods lately.
Last week the newly elected Commissioner of Agriculture, Walt Helmick, announced he was appointing Michael Teets of Hardy County as his Eastern Representative. We aren’t sure what the person in that position actually does, except represent the Commissioner, but for $81,500 a year we would assume the job to be full-time.
