Attention Taxpayers
Due to changes in the US Postal Service regulations, some property
tax forms may not have been delivered. All property tax forms have
been mailed and if you have not received your 2010 Property Tax Form,
please call the Hardy County Sheriff’s Office at 304-530-0220. No past
due tax notices will be mailed.
 
School Lunch Bills
Past due notices for Hardy County School’s lunch bills were mailed in
July to parent and/or guardians. Any balance due needs to be paid immediately
or your child’s charging privileges may be revoked. Payment is
to be made to the school. If you have questions, call the Hardy County
Child Nutrition office at 304 530-2348 ext. 231 or 223.
 
Food School
Food School will be held Monday, Sept. 13 at Hardy County Health
Dept. at 9 a.m., and the Moorefield Middle School, large group instruction
room 13 at 7 p.m. Please phone 304-530-6355 to register for the class
you are planning to attend.
 
Prescription Drug Summit
The Hardy County Health and Wellness Center will sponsor a Prescription
Drug Summit on Thursday, Sept. 16, at 6 p.m. at the South
Branch Inn in Moorefield. Citizens from all walks of life are
invited to discuss what can be done to address the problem of prescription
drug abuse in Hardy County. Dinner will be served. The summit is free and
open to the public. Call 304-538-7380 to register.
