BOE Awards Construction Contracts for Moorefield High

W. Harley Miller Contractors, Inc. of Romney, will build Moorefield High School. The Hardy County Board of Education voted to award contracts for general construction, plumbing and HVAC, electrical work, automatic fire suppression and food service equipment. The total cost of those contracts is $17,189,877.

The contract for general construction will cost $9,836,000 and will include safety glass, an approved alternative. The board did not approve new bleachers or terrazzo flooring.

According to Architect Greg Williamson, the bleachers will be rebid as part of the furniture and fixture package.
